Autosoft DMS Forms

Find the form by what you need to print. Everything here is pre-printed to align with Autosoft, so what comes out of your printer lands where it should without adjustment.

Service Department

Four related products, and knowing how they fit together saves ordering the wrong one.

Hard copy service orders are cardstock, used by technicians to record work performed. Soft copy service invoices are lightweight laser forms, printed in colour at our own print shop and guaranteed to align with no adjustment. The hard copy survives the shop; the soft copy goes to the customer and the file.

The backer is the printed reverse of the hard copy. Autosoft's standard backer is 80# white cardstock in reflex blue, shrink wrapped 250 per pack. The custom design backer carries your own terms on 80#, 70# or 65# stock. Most dealerships run the standard; choose custom only if your state or your attorney requires specific language on the reverse.

For follow-up, Autosoft service mailers carry reminders and coupons, pre-printed in colour so you are not spending toner on every piece.

Parts Department

Autosoft parts invoices are pre-printed laser forms carrying your dealership details, 1000 to a pack.

Accounting Office

AR statements for Autosoft FLEX DMS, with a matching standard backer if you print terms on the reverse. Cash receipts and purchase orders complete the set. Call us for current pricing on purchase orders before ordering.

Sales Floor

Window stickers integrate with your Autosoft Inventory Management Module, pulling vehicle data straight from inventory rather than being typed again. Three finishes: one colour, two colour and full colour.

The price difference between them is a few cents per vehicle. Across a month of stickers that is negligible, so choose on how the lot should look rather than on cost. Full colour earns its place on a front line where photographs get taken.

Correspondence

Custom letterhead is pre-printed in colour with your dealership details, saving toner on every page. Pair it with #10 envelopes, and add #9 envelopes where you want the customer to send something back. A #9 fits inside a #10, which is what makes the pairing work.

State-Specific Forms

The Autosoft Special Customer Hard Copy is required in California and certain other states. Requirements differ by jurisdiction, so call us with your state and we will confirm whether you need it rather than have you guess from a product page.

Lead Times

Most forms here are printed to order with your dealership details. Standard production is 2 to 3 business days, rush is 1 to 2, and shipping is on top of that.

The practical consequence: order before the last box opens, not after. A service drive that runs out of hard copies mid-week does not stop, but it does start writing on plain paper, and that paperwork causes problems later.

FAQ

Soft copy or hard copy?

Both, for different stages. Hard copy service orders are cardstock because a technician handles them in a shop. Soft copy invoices are lightweight for the customer copy and the file. One does not replace the other.

What is a backer?

The printed reverse of a hard copy form, usually carrying terms and conditions. Autosoft's standard backer suits most dealerships. Order the custom version only if your own wording is required, and have your attorney approve it before it prints.

Which window sticker should we order?

Choose on appearance rather than price, since the difference is a few cents per vehicle. All three pull data from your Inventory Management Module, so the labour saving is identical. Full colour for a front line that gets photographed, one colour for volume inventory.

Do we need the Special Customer Hard Copy?

Only in California and certain other states. Call us with your location and we will confirm, or check with your attorney. Requirements here are state law rather than Autosoft configuration, so it is worth getting a definite answer rather than an assumption.

Will these align without adjusting our printer?

Yes. These forms are printed to match Autosoft's output, which is the reason to buy them rather than generic stock. If anything prints out of position, call us rather than adjusting margins, since it usually means a setting changed at your end.

How far ahead should we order?

Allow 2 to 3 business days production plus shipping, or 1 to 2 days on rush. Reorder when a pack opens rather than when it empties. Many dealerships set a standing order against monthly usage so the decision is made once.
