Do I need a manufacturer-specific form?

If you are a franchise dealership, usually yes. Each manufacturer sets the field structure and inspection points it expects, and a generic sheet may not satisfy a factory process review. What is the traffic-light colour system?

It exists because most customers cannot interpret a technician's notes but everyone understands three colours. 2-part or 3-part?

Two parts covers the customer copy and your file copy, which is enough for most shops. Choose three parts when the sheet needs to travel with the vehicle through the shop as well, so the technician keeps a working copy and the advisor is not chasing the original. 3-part and 2-part versions are both stocked.

What is on a multi-point inspection form?
