Choosing the Finish

Each style comes in three materials, and this is the decision that matters most on a motorcycle.

Polyester is the standard finish, durable and the most economical across volume. White reflective returns light from headlamps, so it stays visible after dark. The remaining decals here are window and windshield products. They will not go on most bikes, but they work on showroom glass, service department windows, transporter and trailer panels, and on cars if you sell both.

Where should a decal go on a bike?

Somewhere flat, visible, and not covered by the rider. Rear fender panels and the lower tank or side cover are the usual choices. Avoid heavily curved surfaces, which cause lifting at the edges, and avoid anything that gets hot or is regularly cleaned with solvents.

Can we use the same decal on units and trailers?

Yes, though a decal sized for a motorcycle panel will look lost on a transporter. Many dealers run the standard dealer decal on units and a larger custom die-cut decal on trailers and transport vehicles, using the same artwork at two scales.
