Forms printed to match the Autosoft DMS output, so what the system prints lands where the form expects it. Misaligned forms waste paper, waste time at the counter, and produce documents that look careless to the customer holding them.

Parts Invoices

Autosoft parts invoices are pre-printed laser forms carrying your dealership details, 8-1/2in x 11in, 1000 per order. Specify what suits your counter and your printer:

  • Paper weight: 20#, 60# or 80#, plus standard card stock
  • Colour: blue, canary or pink for colour-coding copies by destination
  • Ink: custom colours to match your branding
  • Printing: single or double sided

The weight decision is practical: 20# is the economical choice for high-volume counter printing, heavier stocks suit invoices customers keep or that get filed and handled repeatedly.

Purchase Orders

Autosoft purchase orders are also pre-printed laser forms at 8-1/2in x 11in, available in 20# and 60# paper with custom ink colours, and can be ordered in bulk. Same principle: the form matches what the DMS prints, so nothing needs adjusting at the printer.

Why Pre-Printed

Pre-printed forms carry your dealership name, address, and branding already on the page, so the printer only lays down the transaction data. That means less toner per document, faster printing, and a consistent look across every invoice and PO the department issues, rather than results that vary with whichever printer the job landed on.

Ordering and Lead Time

Because these are printed to your specification, they are not shelf stock. Standard production runs 2 to 3 business days, with a rush option at 1 to 2. Order before you run low rather than when you run out, and order in the quantity your usage justifies, since the setup is the same whether you print one box or several.

Will these align with our Autosoft system?

They are printed to match Autosoft DMS output, which is the point of buying the form specific to the platform rather than a generic laser form. If you are running a non-standard configuration or a customised form layout, send us a sample of your current output before ordering so we can confirm the match.

Which paper weight should we choose?

20# is the economical option for high-volume counter printing where the invoice is issued and filed. 60# and 80# suit documents customers keep, or paperwork that gets handled and refiled repeatedly and would soften on lighter stock. Card stock is for the copy that has to survive the shop floor.

Why use coloured paper?

To tell copies apart at a glance. Blue, canary and pink let you assign a colour per destination, so the customer copy, the file copy and the accounting copy are distinguishable without reading them. It is the same logic as multi-part carbonless forms, applied to laser printing.

How long do they take?

Standard production is 2 to 3 business days, rush is 1 to 2, plus shipping. These are printed to your specification rather than held in stock, so build that into your reorder point. Most parts departments order when they hit roughly a month's supply remaining.

Do pre-printed forms actually save money?

On toner, yes, since your letterhead and layout are already on the page and the printer only adds the transaction data. The larger saving is usually time: no alignment fiddling, no reprints, and no invoices going to customers with the header sitting half an inch off. Across a busy parts counter that adds up faster than the toner does.
