Autosoft Checks

Dealermarket is the official supplier of Autosoft DMS compatible cheques. That matters more than it sounds, for a reason that has nothing to do with branding.

Why DMS Compatible Cheques Are Not Optional

The line of characters along the bottom of a cheque is read by machine at the bank. If that line sits even slightly out of position, or prints at the wrong density, the cheque gets rejected and returned. Your vendor does not get paid, and someone in your office spends a morning on the phone.

Generic cheque stock is formatted for generic accounting software. The Autosoft Check 500 pack is formatted for Autosoft, which means what prints is what the bank expects to read.

If you are running a different DMS, call us before ordering. We would rather tell you these are the wrong cheques than have you find out at the bank.

Security

Business cheques carry security features designed to make alteration and duplication visible. For the specific features on this stock, call us and we will confirm exactly what is included before you order, since this is the kind of detail worth knowing rather than assuming.

Whatever the cheque itself carries, the envelope matters too. A cheque in a standard envelope announces itself: hold it to a light and the shape and often the figures are visible. That is why the two envelopes in this category are here.

The Envelopes That Belong With Them

The #8 security cheque envelope is sized for cheques and built so the contents cannot be read through the paper. This is the one for your cheque run.

The #9 envelope serves a different purpose. It fits inside a #10, so when you send a statement out you can enclose a #9 for the customer to return payment in. For a dealership chasing house accounts, that pairing does more for collection speed than another reminder.

Both are available custom printed with your dealership name, logo and return address. On anything carrying a cheque, printed details rather than a label also mean undeliverable mail comes back to you.

Ordering

Cheques are printed to order with your account details, so allow lead time rather than ordering when the drawer is nearly empty. Call us with your bank details and Autosoft configuration and we will confirm the format before anything is printed.

Order envelopes at the same time. Cheques and the envelopes they go in tend to run out together, and it is a single delivery rather than two.

FAQ

Why not use generic business cheques?

Because the machine-readable line at the bottom has to print in the right place at the right density, and generic stock is formatted for generic software. These cheques are formatted for Autosoft. A rejected cheque costs more in time than the stock saved.

Why are envelopes in a cheque category?

Because a cheque needs one. The #8 security envelope is sized for cheques and conceals its contents, and the #9 is the reply envelope you enclose when billing. Most dealerships order both alongside their cheque stock.

What security features do these cheques have?

Call us and we will confirm the current specification before you order. Security features on cheque stock change between print runs, and this is not something to take from a web page when your funds depend on it.

We do not run Autosoft. Will these work?

Probably not without checking. Call us with your system and we will tell you whether the format transfers. See Reynolds and Reynolds or CDK forms if you run one of those.

How long does an order take?

Cheques are printed with your account details, so they are not off-the-shelf. Call us for current lead time and order before you are down to your last box, since a cheque run that cannot go out holds up your vendors and your month end.

How many should we order?

Cheques come 500 to a pack. Work from your monthly cheque volume and order enough to cover several months, since setup is built into the price and repeat small orders cost more per cheque. Tell us your volume and we will price it.
