Flag Hardware and Accessories for Car Dealerships

Flags and banners are only as good as what holds them up. Dealermarket stocks the poles, anchors, bases, and mounts that keep a lot display standing, plus the replacement parts that keep it running season after season. Most flags are sold separately from their hardware, so this is where you build a complete setup or repair one you already own.

Poles

Match the pole to the flag. Curved-top swooper banners use the 14ft 6in 4pc pole set, while flat-top banners require the separate flat top pole set, which is not interchangeable. Feather flags use the 11ft heavy duty fiberglass pole, supplied with a carry case. For conventional flags with grommets, the 11ft Stock Unipole Kit includes everything needed to stand the pole, with flags sold separately.

Ground Anchoring and Hard-Surface Bases

On grass, dirt, or soil, drive a ground spike for swooper and feather poles, or a 30in fiberglass ground stake for Unipole displays. Where a spike is not an option, use a fillable base instead: the water and sand base for swooper poles and reusable balloon poles, or the 40lb water base for 11ft Unipole flag poles on pavement.

Mounting on Vehicles

Anchor a swooper pole to inventory rather than the ground. The standard wheel base sits over a tire with no drilling; for SUVs and trucks where the standard base will not span the tire, use the large wheel base. The tow hitch mount holds a pole in a receiver for off-site sales events. Add a scratch guard, a foam sleeve that cushions the pole where it touches paint.

Mounting on Buildings and Poles

For permanent and semi-permanent displays, mount the pole to the structure. Options include a bolt-on roof mount, a flat wall mount, an angled wall mount that projects the banner away from the wall, a pole mount for existing posts, and an angled pole mount. The Spacewalker hardware kit mounts conventional flags to existing poles and structures.

Interceptor Brackets

Large interceptor drape flags mount on their own bracket system, sized to the flag and to the number of printed faces: double sided for 3 x 8, double sided for 3.5 x 7.5, and single sided for 3.5 x 7.5. Replacement stainless steel straps and self-locking nylon straps are stocked separately, and double strapping is recommended in high-wind areas.

Replacement Parts

Small parts wear out before flags do. The spinner fly lets a banner rotate freely so it stays readable instead of wrapping the pole, and is a direct replacement when the original is worn or missing. Browse the flags themselves under swooper banners, feather flags, and all flags and banners for car dealerships.

FAQ

Which anchor should I use for my surface?

Match the anchor to what is under the pole:

Do wall and pole mounts include fasteners?

No. Wall mounts, pole mounts, and angled mounts ship without fastener hardware, because the correct screws, bolts, or anchors depend on the surface you are mounting to. Source fasteners rated for your wall or post material before installation.

What is the difference between the standard and large wheel base?

Both anchor a swooper pole by sitting over a vehicle's tire with no drilling. The standard wheel base fits typical car tires, while the large wheel base is sized for SUVs and trucks where the standard base will not span the tire. If your front line is mostly trucks, order the large size.

Will one pole set work with any swooper banner?

No. Standard curved-top swooper banners use the 14ft 6in pole set. Flat-top banners require the flat top pole set, which also requires the ground spike specifically. Confirm which style your banner is before ordering.

How do I keep swooper poles from scratching vehicles?

Use a scratch guard, a 2ft foam sleeve that slides onto the pole set and cushions the point where the pole contacts the vehicle. It is worth adding to any wheel base or tow hitch setup running on sellable inventory.
