Plastic Covers for Car Seat, Wheel, and Gear Shift
A customer who collects their car and finds a grease mark on the seat remembers that longer than the repair. Interior protection costs a few cents per vehicle and takes ten seconds to fit, which is why it is the cheapest goodwill a service department can buy.
Seat Covers
Two brands, two different approaches. Slip-N-Grip covers use 2-layer construction: the bottom layer grips the seat so the cover stays put through the whole job, while the slicker top layer lets a technician slide in and out without dragging it. Available standard, premium, heavy duty for shops where covers tear, and premium folded 250 per pack. All are USA made.
CAATS covers use an anti-static additive instead, which stops the plastic clinging to itself and to the technician, making them faster to separate and fit. Choose the CAATS standard or the CAATS premium, a 42in x 32in .7 mil 3-layer cover. For shops moving away from single-use plastic, the CAATS reusable seat cover is non-woven polypropylene, reusable and recyclable.
Steering Wheel Covers
Three formats, and fit is the whole question. Standard double elastic covers use two elastic bands to stay seated on most wheels, 500 per pack. XL double elastic covers handle the oversized wheels on big rigs, motor homes, and light industrial equipment, which standard covers will not stretch over. Gear Shift Covers
CAATS elastic gear shift covers are sealed on three sides with an elastic opening, so they stay on through a test drive, 500 per case. Adhesive Covers
Where an elastic cover will not stay, adhesive will. The small adhesive cover is a 6in x 7in blue sheet with light adhesive for gear shifts, door handles, and switches. The large adhesive cover is 24in x 24in and conforms to steering wheels and larger surfaces. Both lift off without residue.
